Sir William Laurence Young 4th Bart.

Country house

Hughenden Manor

High Wycombe (Buckinghamshire)

Notes

The connection of Sir William Laurence Young to Hughenden is unclear. He was described as "of Hughenden House" in newspaper reports of his death in 1842. The property was owned by his father-in-law John Norris. In John Norris's will of 1845 he left Hughenden Cottage to his daughter Lady Caroline Young and gave her rights as tenant-for-life to Hughenden House. The Norris family sold Hughenden to Isaac D'Israeli, the father of Benjamin Disraeli (the British Prime Minister) in 1847.
