T71/1609, unnumbered bundle: letter, dated 30/10/1835, from George Gun Hay, 127 Sloane St., Chelsea, stating that he went to the compensation office in August 1835 and again in Oct 1835, inquring about his claim through Robert Turnbull on Lower Lataute Estate (Lower Latante?). He was told that there were no enslaved persons at that estate and that he needed to apply in writing.
