T71/870: claim from Robert Watt, as owner. Counterclaim from John Watson & David Lyon, as mortgagees and judgement creditors, dated October 1827, for £1063 11s 9d. LBS has inferred the counterclaim to have flowed from mortgage lending by the partnership between John Watson and David Lyon senior, who died in 1827, but the counterclaim might refer to David Lyon jun. It is unclear who collected. LBS has categorised it as a consensual settlement of the mortgagee's counterclaim, but the details supporting this have not yet been properly investigated by LBS.
