R.A. Barrett, The Barretts of Jamaica: The Family of Elizabeth Barrett Browning (Athlone, Continuum International Publishing Group, 2000) p. 30: refers to William Fowle as the executor of Martin Williams (who died April 1786).

Jamaica Almanac (1828): Wilsthire estate registered to William Fowle, with 182 enslaved persons.

Joseph Sturge and Thomas Harvey, The West Indies in 1837 (London, Hamilton, Adams, & Co., 1838) p. 227: the authors decribe Wiltshire estate as 'another well-conducted property' (after Eden estate - see St James claim nos. 31A-F). The resident attorney is named as Fenton.
