T71/859: claimant as Sarah C. Stewart, now Mrs Stoney. Rev Stoney owner-in-fee of 15 enslaved persons in right of wife the late Sarah O. Stewart. The Mitchells counterclaimed as mortgagees. Note says 'See agreement between Stoney & wife claimants and Mitchells counterclaimants'.
T71/1606: letter from Chalmers Guthrie, 9 Idol Lane [London] on behalf of Miss Coulston, counterclaimant: £303 1s 5d due on 24/06/1834, £156 1s 6d due on 18/12/1834: 'the same being for Board and education of Mrs Stoney's children the same being a debt admitted as long overdue by the said J.Stoney particularly in his letters of 17/8/1836 and in which Letter he states that the compensation money on these 15 slaves shall be applied in liquidation of the debt admitted to be due to Miss E Coulston.'
