T71/1608: letter from G.W.J. Jago, 11 Trelleck Terrace, Pimlico, stating: the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos has withdrawn his claim in favour of Ambrose Humphrys, who has lodged a counterclaim. 'The cause of the Duke's signature not appearing (the Duchess's being substituted) is a severe attack of gout in his Grace's right hand'.
