The award was split; £181 0s 3d (i.e. one-quarter) went to each of Forbes, Leslie, Reid & Gartly, and Jenkinson.  

T71/871: claim by Wilhelmina Jenkinson, as the administratrix of Benjamin Morrison. Counterclaim by 4: Jane Forbes, a widow, for 1/4th of the compensation, as coheiress of Benjamin Morrison; and George Leslie, Barbara Reid and Catherine Gartly, 'in right of their late mother, also coheiresses, or Jane Forbes claims the whole comp. as administratrix'.

T71/1608: letter, dated 29/03/1836, from John B. Gracie, on behalf of Theodore Leslie, of Edinburgh (Scotland), stating: the estate belonged to Benj. Morrison who died leaving 5 sisters but no brothers. Theodore Leslie is the son of one of daughters, and 'is anxious to know who has claimed the compensation'.

T71/189 p. 314: enslaved persons were registered by Willimina Jenkinson in 1832.
