T71/1592 p. 255: letter, dated 24/09/1835, from Henry Laird Esq., Bognor, enquiring into the progress of his uncontested claim.
T71/1608: letter, dated 23/09/1835, from Henry Laird, Bognor, stating: 'my attorney...informed me, that he understood that all I should have to do, was to apply to the Office of the Court of Chancery, and the money would be paid'. Enquires what should be done next and asks: 'when I shall be able to learn the amount awarded to me on account of my negroes?'.
