T71/888: the claimants were trustees to Sarah Goodall.
T71/1610: letter, dated 26/08/1845 [sic], from Ed Semper, of Montserrat, requesting details of the compensation paid on this claim, and apologising for troubling you, 'as my situation compels me to, being threatened as the surviving trustee with a bill in Chancery by the parties for whose benefit I held the slaves prior to the Emancipation. The amount was paid to my old and highly respected friend QS who agreeable to my desire placed the Ams received in the funds and after the (passage?) of ten or eleven years we are both charged for not accounting for the full Ams. paid over by the counterclaimant'.
