Francis Brown Douglas was the eldest son of Archibald Douglas, advocate, died 14/5/1833 [see Midlothian testaments].
Times 17/6/1833: Privy Council heard an appeal from Court of Ordinary of the Island of St Vincent, where Francis Brown Douglas, a minor acting by his father and guardian Mr Archibald Douglas was the appellant, Wm Smith and Robert Brown, trustees and executors of Francis Brown deceased were the respondents. Francis Brown had died at an advanced age, left one signed testamentary paper and an unsigned one, the latter leaving £60,000 away from Francis Brown Douglas, Francis Brown's grandson.
