Farquharson versus Balfour: see Times 07/11/1836 p. 3 for a summary of the case. Claim by Edward Ellice, executor and devisee of Crawford Balfour. Counterclaim from Alexander Robertson (=Robinson), Broad St Buildings, merchant. Counterclaims from Russell Ellice and Sir Thos Neave. Alexander Robinson was the consignee, Edward Ellice the first mortgagee and Neave the second mortgagee. Robinson's application to have the compensation applied to his current balance was vigorously rejected.
