T71/899: claim by Joseph Briggs, owner-in-fee. Counterclaims from the Daniels, and from Francis Onslow Trent, of England, and his wife Judith Trent (late Judith Sober) for a legacy under the will of Hilary Rowe, dated 29/09/1816, for £3502 19 71/2d currency.

T71/565 p. 42: enslaved persons were registered on Checker Hall by Joseph Briggs in 1834.
