T71/431 p. 1048: 161 enslaved persons were registered on T([?]russchen de Vrienden estate in 1832 by George Rainy, for eight co-partners in Sandbach Tinne, McInroy Parker and McInroy Sandbach.
Walter Rodney (ed.), Guyanese Sugar Plantations in the late Nineteenth Century: a contemporary description from the Argosy (Georgetown, Guyana, Release Publishers, 1979) p. 32: Tuschen de Vrienden estate is described in 1883 as 'the pet property of the Hon. William Russell and his partner Mr John McConnell; and is known in the circles of their familiars as Mr Russell's grouse moor'.
