PURSUANT to authority granted by his Honour Jeffery Hart Bent, Chief Justice of British Guiana, dated the 3d December 1840; I, the undersigned, Marshal for the county of Berbice, will, through the Vendue Master, expose for sale to the highest bidder, in presence of the Registrar of the Court of Justice, or a Sworn Clerk, at the premises, in the month of January 1842, the precise day hereafter to be named, at eleven o'clock A. M. firstly, in. behalf of the mercantile firm of Robert Semple and Company, plaintiffs, versus the owner or owners, representative or representatives, of the sugar plantation Enfield, situate qn the east bank of the River Berbice, cum annexis, defendants; and secondly, in behalf of the mercantile firm of J. A. Edwards and Company, plaintiffs, versus C. Matheson, in his capacity as attorney of William Nicolson, owner of the sugar plantation Enfield, situate on the east bank of the River Berbice, defendant; The said sugar plantation Enfield* comprising the land, buildings, machinery, cultivation, and further appurtenances, situate as aforesaid. An inventory of said property is now lying at the Mar-- shal's Office, in Berbice, for the inspection of those concerned. : Marshal's Office, Berbice, this 30th day of April 1841. K.
