Return of Scawen K. Gibbons, owner. Note that Gibbons also the owner of the Morgan Lewis estate in St Andrew, Barbados. That estate had 153 enslaved in 1832, 164 in 1834. The estate recorded here does not seem to appear in 1832 or in the compensation records. However, note that the 1829 records for St Andrew start at p. 303. It is possible that this is a mistake in the Register and that Gibbons's property should have been listed under St Andrew and thus that the return is actually for the Morgan Lewis estate (with no name being given in the 1829 listing).
