1808
By the will of Francis Bell (11 May 1808), half of the Belmont estate went to his son, Francis Bell, half to his wife, Ruth Alleyne Bell. £100 was also given to Sarah Haynes, his daughter and wife of Edmund Haynes. (They had married in 1805.) Sarah Haynes subsequently died and Edmund Haynes re-married to Lucy Reed, daughter of George Reed.

1827
2 January 1827, Edmund Haynes sold Belmont to Francis Cheeseman for £1,100 sterling.

Francis Cheeseman died in 1833. By his will he left Belmont to his wife Rebecca Richard Cheeseman for her lifetime & then to their son Richard Brathwaite Cheesemen. The latter died in 1835. The executors of the estate included Josiah Heath who was married to Francis Cheeseman’s daughter, Jane Ann.
