In his will made in 1762 and proved in 1763, Richard Haughton left land commonly known as the Bogue estate to his brother-in-law Thomas Reid. He referred to the land having been settled by Norwood Witter, which confirms the identification of the estate as this Bogue in St James, but Thomas Reid does not appear as owner in the Accounts Produce.
