According to CreoleLinks.com, Benjamin Ifill bought this estate in 1817 but this needs further verification. The Ifill concerned must have been Benjamin Ifill senior (1777-1835). It is not clear from the 1832 Slave Register whether it was the father or son (1800-1869) who made the return. Note too that Creole Links gives the Parish as St Lucy but the 1829 Register gives it as St Andrew. |
