Executor with William Ifill, and son, of Benjamin Ifill (1777-1835), who claimed the compensation for Haggetts, Harrisons and probably 'Dukes or Bell'Air' in Barbados.
Admitted as a pensioner (age 19) at Trinity College, Cambridge, 18 June 1818. Elder son of Benjamin. Born in Barbados and attended school there. Awarded B.A. in 1823, M.A. in 1826. Admitted. at the Inner Temple, 6 November 1819. 'Doubtless brother of the next' [who was Samuel Ifill]. (Inns of Court.)
In 1845 Benjamin Ifill, late Member of the Council and Proprietor of Barbados of 59 (or possibly 69) Welbeck Street was one of the three dozen members the Provisional Committee of the Barbadoes General Railway and one of the 11 strong Managing Committee.
Benjamin Ifill of Worthing aged 69 was buried 24/12/1869 at St James, St Pancras.
