In August 1809 was reproduced in London a notice previously lodged by the Exploiteur in Berbice in October 1808, announcing the auction in October 1809 of the Tempe & Nursery estate owned by the widow of Alfred Bartrum and brought under sequestration in behalf of the mortgagees Barrows & Lousada.
