Estate Information (4) |
1798
[Name] North Brook
[Crop] Cotton North Brook shown as plantation no. 17 under the sub-heading 'De Mahaica a Demerarie', proprietaire J. Baillie sen., no area shown, C[oton]. James Baillie of Bedford Square and Ealing Grove is known to have owned this estate and referred to it in his will proved in 1793 (when he instructed his trustees to sell it). He is presumably but not necessarily the 'J. Baillie sen.' recorded as the owner in 1798, despite his death.
