Born 1789 Jersey. Permitted to change name from Francis Valpy dit Janvrin to Francis Janvrin in 1826. Married (1) Ann Letitia Gostling (2) Sarah Richard Pope (1802-60, daughter of Ann [Jarrett] Lawson, née Steel, by her first husband Dr Richard Pope). Died 1861.
Will of Francis Janvrin late of 53 St George's Road Pimlico who died 21/1/1861 proved 13/5/1861 effects £600 resworn March 1864 at £1500. One of the executors was Francis William Janvrin, the son. Francis Janvrin was identified as of Jersey in the entry of Francis William Frederick Janvrin in Alumni Oxonienses.
