Biography

Daughter of Ann Jarrett and her first husband Dr Thomas Steel, widow of (1) Dr Richard Pope (died 1801) and widow and executrix of (2) Dr James Lawson (died 1829), and mother-in-law of Francis Janvrin and William Rhodes James (both of whom q.v.).

  1. Will of Ann Jarrett Lawson of Aldeburgh Suffolk [made in 1839] proved 16/11/1846. She left the arrears of her £100 p.a. annuity under the will of her husband James Lawson to her son Thomas Lawson, and the rest of her estate to her daughters, Flora, Catherine, Jessey and Rhoda. Her son James Steel Lawson must have predeceased her.
