Counterclaimed apparently unsuccessfully with his partner Coutts Trotter as trustee for Good Hope estate in Trinidad.

  1. Partner in Coutts & co., 1797-1837, senior partner 1837-death. Son of Edward Marjoribanks (1735-1815) of Lees Berwickshire, wine merchant in Bordeaux. Left £600,000. One of his sons was Dudley Coutts Marjoribanks, 1st Baron Tweedmouth.
