Resident slave-owner, attorney and merchant on Dominica, purchaser of the property of Samuel Potter (q.v.) with James Potter Lockhart (also q.v.) according to the will of Samuel Potter made in 1820. Despite his status as Member of HM's Privy Council for Dominica in 1832, his active investment in enslaved people in the 1820s and his presence in the compensation records in the 1830s, he has proved difficult for LBS to trace beyond the compensation period: no probate or death-date for him has yet been found. .
