In 1841 Archibald Paull merchant aged 50 was living at 33 Devonshire Place, Cavendish Square with wife Eliza aged 55 and sons Archibald F. 20 and Henry 15; in 1851 he was at the same address aged 64 Merchant (West India) with wife Eliza 68 born St Christopher and son Archibald F., aged 34 also Merchant (West India) and also born St Christopher. In 1861 he was at the same address aged 73 born St George Middlesex West India Merchant ('Deaf') with sons Archibald F 43 West India Merchant and Henry aged 38 ('Barrister not in practice'). By 1871 he was living with his son Henry's family at 10 Adelaide Crescent Hove.

Henry Paull, the MP for St Ives 1857-68, was the son of Archibald Paull of Devonshire Place. [The 1861 census did not identify him as an MP].
Archibald Paull of 147 Leadenhall Street and Walter M. Peddie of Montreal together had two votes as proprietors of the British American Land Company in 1835, so had purchased between 15 and 29 shares at £50 each.
