???? - 1847
Trustee of the marriage settlement of his sister Mary and brother-in-law Richard Oliver Smith (q.v.), and presumably son of Edmund Broderip the elder of Wells (who died 05/12/1828). The compensation records give Edmund Broderip as of Weymouth c. 1835. Probably the family are descended from the musician family of William Broderip of Wells (1683-1727).
An indenture of c. 1819 concerning the marriage settlement of Mary Broderip and Richard Oliver Smith shows Edmund Broderip the elder and Edmund Broderip the younger as parties. Given that the will of Edmund Broderip of Bath Somerset was proved 12/1/1829, the Edmund Broderip in the compensation records must be the younger. The younger had married Grace Greenhill c. 1806, when Edmund Broderip of Wells and Benjamin Greenhill purchased the manor of Cossington in trust for the marriage of their children.
The will of Edmund Broderip the elder, late of Wells but now of Pulteney Street, Bath, written in 1828 and proved in 1829, gives his sons-in-law as Richard Oliver Smith and Robert Savage and his son of Edmund Broderip of Wells, gentleman.
