Biography

Counterclaimed apparently unsuccesfully on the Morgan Lewis estate in Barbados for a legacy left to his wife amounting to £2740 sterling, also creditor by judgement 11/08/1819 for £982 10s. The compensation was paid to Scawen Kenrick Gibbons (q.v.), the brother-in-law of Rev. Kenrick Francis Saunders.

  1. Rev. Kenrick Saunders married 'Miss Gibbons', eldest daughter of the late Rev. Scawen Kenrick Gibbons in 1807. Rev. Scawen Kenrick Gibbons (1755-1801) was the son of Sir John Gibbons 2nd bart., and uncle of Sir John Gibbons 4th bart. (q.v.) and Robert Kenrick Gibbons (q.v.), and the father of the Scawen Kenrick Gibbons of the Morgan Lewis award.

  2. Saunders, Kenrick Francis 1775-83. Son of Rev. Erasmus Saunders, b. 19/06/1764, baptised 09/07/1764 at St Martin-in-the-Fields; matric. Oxford Merton College 11/04/1783. BA 1786, MA 1789. Preb[endary] of Salisbury 1805-1853, married Kitty, dau[ghter] of Scawen Kenrick Gibbons, d. 09/06/1853 at Southsea.
