Maria Countess Dowager of Carhampton, England claimed for the compensation for Swallowfield in St Andrew Jamaica as tenant for life; the compensation was awarded 'to Trustees', George Herbert Kinderley, James Wickens and John Gowland (all of whom q.v.).
Maria Dowager of Carhampton was widow of John Luttrell-Olmius, 3rd Earl of Carhampton, naval officer and politician [d. 1829, Devonshire Place], and daughter of John Morgan. John Luttrell-Olmius was brother of Henry Lawes Luttrell the 2nd Earl: the two were sons of Simon Luttrell, the first Earl and Judith Maria Lawes. Elizabeth, countess of Home, left 'New River' in St Andrews to Capt. the Hon. James Luttrell, RN, youngest son of Earl of Carhampton and Judith Maria Lawes, Countess of Carhampton and half-sister of James Lawes, Elizabeth Countess of Home's first husband. James Luttrell died in 1788 unmarried.
