Biography

Claimed unsuccessfully for part of the compensation for Mt Airy in St Andrew, Jamaica for dower as widow of James Allan Allan. The claim was originally made by Alex Forbes of St Andrew as trustee and executor of James A. Allan dec[ease]d, and the compensation was paid to Benjamin Joseph Trueman Nightingale, who counterclaimed as mortgagee-in-fee and judgement creditor.

  1. Married James Allan in Paisley, Scotland, in 1809. Three children baptised in Cambuslang (1810, 1811, 1815) and three in Galston (1818, 1821, 1825). Will of James Allan Allan of Galston Ayrshire proved 12/08/1834.
