Half-brother (and guardian) of Sarah Jane McConnell and Thomas McConnell (both q.v.). His parents were Henry Jackson and Sarah nee Booth (later McConnell). Born 28/09/1795 and baptised in Trelawny 15/12/1799 at the same time as his two younger brothers, Henry and Kembal [given as Hempbell in the copy of the register].
John Greaves Jackson married Sarah Hawkins 08/08/1818 in Trelawny.

Jamaican-born widow of a prominent slave-owner; resident in Britain following the death of her husband in 1818. Accused - and acquitted - of the cruel treatment of some enslaved people whom she brought to Britain with her.
