PROB 11/2068/65 - precis. Dorothy Ann Petgrave of the parish of St James, Island of Jamaica, spinster. To my beloved sister Mary Tharp Montague £100 sterling. I hope she will forgive so small a bequest from me in consequence of the reduced state of my property. To my beloved sister Susanna Lawrence Petgrave £50 sterling. To my beloved niece Wilhelmina Margaret Petgrave £20 sterling to purchase a small token of remembrance of me. To my beloved nieces Susanna Lawrence Petgrave and Elizabeth Mary Petgrave I give the half of whatever I may die possessed of after deducting the above. To my beloved nephew Ezekiel Charles Thomas Johnson Petgrave I give the other half. My sister Susanna Lawrence Petgrave and nieces Susanna Lawrence Petgrave and Elizabeth Mary Petgrave to be executrixes. Signed 11/01/1840. Sworn in Jamaica 15/02/1847.
