"At Lund, in Westmoreland, on the 3rd inst, by the Rev James Dunn, Lyndon Howard Evelyn, Esq, collector of his Majesty's Customs at Savanna-le-Mer, to Alice, eldest daughter of Benjamin Samuda, esq, formerly of this island, and sister of Daniel, of Lundy."
Ten children baptised in Hanover and Westmoreland, Jamaica: Frederick (1824), Elizabeth Higginson (1825), Emma (1826), Webber Samuels (1827), Julia and William Hylton (both 1831), Caroline Owen, Alice Chambers, Frederick William and Howard (all 1837).
Living in England from at least 1861. In the census of 1861 at 71 Oakley Square, St Pancras, age 62, 'Superan collector customs', born Jamaica, with her husband Lyndon and one female servant. At Enmore Road, Croydon, in 1871, with her husband, two granddaughters and a female servant (the granddaughters were Elizabeth Caird, age 11, born in Jamaica and Alice Caird, age 10, born in the United States).
Died 15/07/1875 age 78, buried in Woolwich Cemetery.
