Biography

Isabella, Lady Cooper, née Isabella Ball or Bell Franks (daughter of Moses Franks and his wife, herself the daughter of Aaron Franks), widow of. Rev. Sir William Henry Cooper. Her trustees were awarded the compensation for Duckenfield Hall in Jamaica.

  1. Lady Cooper inherited the property of her aunt Priscilla Franks, both an estate at Isleworth and the Duckenfield or Dukinfield Hall plantation in Jamaica. Her husband Sir William Henry Cooper died in 1834 and her only son also William Henry Cooper died c. 1835; the Isleworth estate settled on her eldest surviving daughter Lady Mary Anne Honywood. The LMA archives also show Lady Cooper as having inherited estates on Grenada which have yet to be traced.
