???? - 1846
There is potential confusion in the compensation records between George Whiteley and George Whiteley senior (q.v.) who appear to be the same man, a partner in Higgin, Whiteley (q.v.) which shared an address with George Whiteley at 18 London Street.
Death of Mrs Jane Whiteley, wife of George Whiteley and daughter of John Higgin, of London Street September 1818. The couple had previously had a son George with birthdate [sic] of 31/10/1816 baptised All Hallows Staining, father George Whiteley, mother Jane, maternal grandfather John Higgin.
Will of George Whiteley of Islington Middlesex proved 13/07/1846. The will makes no reference to West India property but makes bequests to his children by his two marriages and identifies his late partner as John Higgin.
