Resident, claimed apparently unsuccessfully as owner-in-fee for the compensation for Sawcott's estate in Antigua, the bulk of which was paid to George Horsford. Almost certainly oldest son of John Horsford senior (whose will was proved in 1796) and brother of George and Paul Horsford (each of whom q.v.). In George Horsford's will (proved in 1840), he refers to a mortgage over the estate of 'his late brother', implying John Horsford died between 1834 and 1840. John Horsford registered almost 200 people in his own name on an as yet unidentified estate on Antigua in 1817 and 1821.
