Estranged husband of Jane Abel Lane (nee Griffith), the daughter of the Hon. Thomas Howard Griffith, and brother-in-law of Thomas Griffith (q.v.). He counterclaimed apparently unsuccessfully for the compensation for Windsor in Barbados by virtue of a legacy of £10,000 to his wife, and for a smaller award also in Barbados for an annuity of his wife.
