Biography

Wife of Edward Darvall (q.v.) and daughter of Godshall Johnson senior (1745-1800). Edward Darvall counterclaimed unsuccessfully on her behalf for compensation for Holly & Savannah estates in Antigua in right of his wife.

  1. Emily was the daughter of Godshall Johnson (1745-1800) and his first wife Elizabeth nee Hodges. Emily eloped with Captain Edward Darvall in 1805 at the age of 16. The couple went on to have 7 children. They emigrated to Australia in 1839. Emily died in Ryde, New South Wales, in 1841.
