Unsuccessful counterclaimant with her husband William Tringham (q.v.) for compensation on Mount Pleasant estate in Grenada as a legatee of Thomas Tarleton (q.v.).
Eleanor Amelia was the daughter of Philip Lloyd Fletcher of Gwernhaylod, Flintshire, North Wales, and Eleanor nee Wynn. She married Major Henry Tarleton, the youngest son of Thomas Tarleton and Mary nee Robinson, at Overton, Flintshire, 19/07/1828. Henry died 24/02/1829.
William Tringham married Eleanor Amelia Tarleton in Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, 03/05/1831 (when they were both "of this parish").
In 1851 William Tringham, age 50, "Cornea[?], RN half pay", born Jamaica, was living with his wife E.A. Tringham, age 53, born Wales, their sons Wm. La.[sic], age 17 born Carmarthenshire and G[eorge] W., age 13, born Sheerness, Kent, their daughter E.M. age 16 born Carmarthenshire and one female servant at Villa Francea[?], TIverton, Devon.
Eleanor Amelia Tringham of 22 St James Square, Notting Hill, age 74 was buried 01/03/1871 at Kensal Green All Souls Cemetery.
