Described as a bachelor of this parish when he married Hannah Fox in Gayton, Staffordshire, in 1832. Hannah was the daughter of a local farmer. Thomas Tabbernor had a natural son, James Tabbernor, mentioned in the will of Hannah Tabbernor.
Marriage: "On Thursday 8th instant at Gayton in Staffordshire, Mr Thomas Tabberner of Parke-Hall Plantation, in the parish of Manchester, island of Jamaica, to Hannah, the third daughter of Edward Fox, Esq. of Wetmoor House" (Liverpool Mercury 23/11/1832).
