Biography
Co-proprietor of Dumfries estate in Carriacou in 1817.
- Under William Scott's will 'entered 22/02/1821', Scott left legacies to his 4 reputed sons and 3 reputed daughters by Marianne Cuming (a 'free Mestize') and his Fair Hill estate to Mariane Cuming with restrictions on her right to dispose of it or of the enslaved. The estate then went to the 7 children. William Scott Kirkland (q.v.) was presumably the son of William Kirkland, who was described as 'my friend', executor and residual legatee in William Scott's will.
