John Mill of Noranside and Fearn

Biography

Joint owner of Grand Bay estate in Carriacou in 1817. Brother and co-heir of David Mill (q.v.), from whom he inherited the share of the estate and the enslaved people on it. He died between 1817 and 1823.

  1. John Mill or Milne, born 1742, son of Captain James Mill or Milne of Old Montrose, Dysart and Lauriston (1708-1783) and his wife Elizabeth nee Scott. Married Hannah Ivie, widow of the Hon. George Falconer of Thesdo [?] in Edinburgh, 23/09/1786. Died 01/10/1821 at Noranside House, Forfarshire, Scotland. Buried 11/10/1821 at Montrose.
