Biography

Jane Heming [or Hemming] Warner, 'of 42 Leicester Square', claimed apparently unsuccessfully under the wills of her father Wm. Warner and of her brother Joseph Thomas Warner (q.v.) for the compensation for Hatton Garden in Dominica. Sister of [Col.] Edward Warner (q.v.). She appears in the will of her mother Mildred Warner, proved in 1833, of which she was sole beneficiary, and in the will of her brother Joseph Thomas Warner (q.v.).

  1. In 1851 a Catherine Warner annuitant aged 64 widow born Barbados was living at 18 Pelham Road, Kensington with daughter Mary Reed aged 34 born Trinidad and sister-in-law Jane Warner aged '42' born St Vincent. This is logically Catherine Jane Warner nee Shipley (q.v.) but the age of Jane is not accurate. Place of birth for Jane given as St Vincent.

  2. In 1861, Jane H. Warner, born St Vincent aged 70 was living at 35 Northumberland Street St Marylebone.

  3. The will of Jane Heming Warner spinster who died 14/06/1880 at East Harling Norfolk proved 25/06/1880 by Susanna Thompson, widow, effects under £800. The death of Jane Hemming [sic] Warner aged 89 was registered Q2 1880 at Guiltcross Norfolk .
