Biography

Described as an invalid in the 1832 Barbados Slave Register. His enslaved people had reverted to his widow Rebecca Joanna Ashby by 1834.

  1. Four children were baptised to George William and Rebecca Johannis Ashby in Barbados: Sarah Ann (1822, St Lucy), Arthur Cadogan (1824, St Lucy), George McCollin (1826, St Michael) and Dorothy Rebecca (1829, St Michael).
