  1. Joseph Lowe of Gregg Farm was buried in St Andrew, Barbados, 2 June 1827.

  2. Will of Joseph Lowe of St Andrew Barbados proved 26/01/1828. He left to is daughter Jane Haggatt Lowe the sums of £2758 12s 4d and £2698 8s 4d 'or whatever sums I may have invested in the public stocks' and a further £5000 which I have in the hands of Messrs Gibbs Sons and Bright. He left £1000 each to his grandchildren Georgianna James and Mary James and Margaret Alleyne, all charged on Gregg Farm, and his grandchildren Sarah Maycock and Joseph Lowe Maycock £1000 each secured on his Mellowes estate. He left the Mellowes estate in trust for his daughter Sarah Maycock, wife of James Dottin Maycock, and Gregg Farm to his daughter Elizabeth Alleyne, wife of the Hon. James Holder Alleyne. Executors in Barbados to be James Dottin Maycock and James Holder Alleyne, his sons-in-law, and in Britain to be his daughter Jane Haggatt Lowe and friend Phillip Drayton Esquire. Effects sworn under £16,000.
