Resident slave-owner in Jamaica, Kingston merchant, curator of the Botanical Garden at Bath, and dying aged 63 years 10 months 21/12/1836. His wife, given as Delafitte in his Memorial Inscription, appears to have been the same woman as Mary Eliz. Justine Higson (nee Delafitte) (q.v.).
