David Dobson, Scots in the West Indies; Burke's Landed Gentry 1847 'Lumsden of Pitcaple' omits Alexander from a list of the sons of Harry Lumsden and Catherine McVeagh. Note Henry Lumsden of Tilwhilly (q.v.) was also a son of this couple.
