Biography

Inherited 1/3 of Mount Rich in Grenada under the will of his uncle Robert Starret (q.v., proved 1824). The legacy was subject to an annuity of £400 pa to his mother Janet Love nee Starret and a sum of £3,000 to his sister Mary Jane Graham nee Love. He does not appear in the compensation records where his 1/3 share for 280 enslaved people on Mount Rich was paid to his brother-in-law Captain Duncan Graham.

Daniel Love, son of the late Daniel Love, mariner, and Janet Stirret in Kilbride was born 05/02/1803 and baptised 10/09/1803 in West Kilbride.
