Richard Ragg Parker, son of William and Mary Parker, was born 26/09/1764 and baptised in St Cahterine, Jamaca, 19/12/1765. He married Mary McPherson 06/01/1808 in Trinity Church Parish, New York; their marriage announcement in the Providence Gazette gave him as Lieutenant Colonel in service of His Britannic Majesty, and her as Mrs Mary McPherson, suggesting she had been previously widowed.
There is or was a monument to Richard Ragg Parker 'of Spanish Town Jamaica' in the burial ground of St Andrew's Church, Clifton, Bristol, showing his death 05/10/1821 aged 57 [the church was destroyed in World War II].
