Biography

Robert Douglas filed Crop Accounts for Spring Garden estate (Westmoreland, Jamaica) in 1762, 1763, 1765 in his role as Executor to Mrs Elizabeth Rutherford (q.v.). In 1765 Douglas was listed as 'planter and one of the executors'. In 1766 the estate was listed in the Crop Accounts as being under Douglas' 'care and direction' as one of Elizabeth Rutherford's executors. He is listed in this role again in 1771 and 1772,
